The current PAYE system operating in Ireland is due to be replaced from 01 January 2019 through the new system of PAYE Modernisation.
At this stage, Revenue should have contacted your business either by written correspondence, phone call or a site visit. This reminder is to outline the requirements each employer is responsible for ahead of implementing the new PAYE system.
Please note that this system is as a result of a legislative change and it is mandatory that all employers comply with the implementation of PAYE modernisation within their business.
Your current list of employees must be uploaded via ROS before 31 October 2018.
It is extremely important that you upload this information to ensure all current employees can be processed through payroll on or after 01 January 2019.
Revenue is using the information supplied to prepare each employer’s Revenue Payroll Notification (RPN) by early December 2018.
Please note that any employees no longer in service with your business should be P45’d from your system (P45 created and uploaded to Revenue) and only current employees should appear on your list.
Your list must be uploaded in the appropriate format (CSV) on your 'My Services' tab in ROS detailed in the image above. Most payroll software providers have the facility for this list to be uploaded, however, where this is not possible Revenue have provided a sample CSV file that can be completed and uploaded.
Also, information can be found on the Revenue website - click here >
Revenue has set up a dedicated Helpline to assist with any queries or problems for submitting your list of employees.
